Dear Fellow Republicans, Conservatives, Constitutionalists, and other Patriotic Americans: Below is a YouTube clip of a speech at the 2009 SC GOP State Convention by neoconservative Lindsey Graham repudiating the so-called "paleo-conservative" (I.e.: real conservative) wing of the Republican Party. In his speech, Graham makes several interesting points which I will dissect in turn: * Graham says Ron Paul is not a leader in the Party. Question: If Ron Paul is not a leader in the Party, then why is Graham wasting his time mentioning him? Does it so happen that our State's senior Senator and his neoconservative cabal are scared stiff of the good Doctor? Otherwise, why go out of your way to mention him Senator? I know one thing for certain: You're sure hell not the leader of this PartySenator. The GOP base hates your guts and for a damn good reason. Graham says that he disagrees with Ron Paul's assertion that U.S. Foreign Policy caused "Blowback" and, hence, 9/11. Well Senator, your disagreement isn't just with Dr. Paul - it is with the #1 foreign policy neocon, and Iraq War architect, Paul Wolfowitz. "Wolfie" (as Dubya called him) stated that our troop presence in Saudi Arabia, and the sanctions on Iraq, caused anti-American sentiment, and, thus, terrorist recruitment. It was on this point that Lindsey received his biggest applause. Unfortunately, Americans (particularly, the GOP base) consider the Blowback argument to be a "Blame the Victim" mentality. Such a argument is offensive towards them. However, what must be kept in mind is that Paul isn't saying that the terrorist attacks were justified. He wasn't excusing them, he was explaining them. For example, if a kid growing up was abused by his father and later in life he kills his father out of revenge, it wouldn't be excusing the murder to say that it was motivated by child abuse. I'm sorry folks, our Government caused hundreds of thousands of kids to be starved to death because of the sanctions Washington placed on Iraq - sanctions that didn't hurt Saddam one bit. Before you call that "Un-Patriotic", ask yourself: Is it unpatriotic to say Sherman murdered millions of southern civilians or that Janet Reno caused the deaths at Waco? Or is it treason to say Obama is murdering unborn babies by funding abortion internationally? If you say yes to that, then your confusing defending your country with defending your government. Please let us remove such a immature and dumb mental block. * Graham says that we will fight the terrorists over there before they come here. Uh Senator, I hate to break this to you, but WE HAVE BEEN "OVER THERE" SINCE 1990 (Desert Shield). We had troops stationed in Saudi Arabia (where most of the 19 highjackers came from) for over a decade before 9-11. That didn't stop 9-11 did it? Nay, it CAUSED IT! Just ask Wolfie! * Graham says that if you don't like his neoconservative foreign policy, then "You BETTER GO SOMEWHERE ELSE". What do you mean by "you BETTER go somewhere else" Senator? By SOMEWHERE, do you mean out of the GOP? Hmmm. So much for the politics of inclusion. So much for the Big Tent! Boy, he is just not telling Pat Buchanan and Ron Paul to take a hike, Graham IS TELLING 70% OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WHO THINK THAT THE IRAQ WAR WAS A MISTAKE TO LEAVE, or should I say stay out, of the GOP. If our senior Senator means by SOMEWHERE ELSE that those who oppose the war should leave the country, then he is a Fascist Freak - and, by extension, all of those who cheered him on that point (if they heard him correctly). If that is what he meant then that is way beyond the old saying "America Love It or Leave It" (ALILI). ALIVI just says you have a choice if you want to stay or not. However, when he says you BETTER leave, that is a threat of deportation by Senator Amnesty. * Finally, Graham says that he will grow this Party and not "turn it over" to those who "Can't Win". "Grow the Party"? You mean how Dubya shrunk it. In 2000, the GOP won control of both the White House and Congress. The Right was well networked via Talk Radio, Fox News, Christian activists, etc. It all seemed that the Right was on the verge of finally being Triumphant! Now that is all a faded, distant, memory. How did it all fall apart? How did the Republican Party in 2006 and 2008 suffer its worst electoral defeats since the Depression years of 1930 and 1932? Answer: neo-conservatism - particularly, Lindsey's beloved Iraq War. "Not turn it over to people who can't win"? You mean your mentor John McCain who lost Dan Quayle's Indiana and Jesse Helms's North Carolina to someone to the left of Dukakis, Mondale, and Kerry? The Gallup poll just said that only 21% of Americans identify themselves as Republicans. In other words, four out of five people you see aren't Republicans. That is at the level of the Perot 1992 showing - even after the Texan with a bad haircut screwed himself up with the conspiracy about his daughters wedding on the last full week of the campaign. In short, Graham, Dubya, McCain, CHENEY, Guliani, and Hannity destroyed the GOP and made it into a rump Party. However, if someone didn't know any better and just listed to Lindsey, you would think that Buchanan and Paul were leading it for the last decade-and-a-half! YOU DESTROYED THE GOP SENATOR, YOU AND YOUR SICK NEOCON ILK. However, my main point is this: Notice how Graham defines growing the Party: By kicking paleos out of it! Exclusion in the name of Inclusion. How Orwellian! Lenin couldn't do it better. Nonetheless, notice how Graham wants to grow it: By inviting the Rudy Guliani's and the Arlen Specter's. In other words, have big government, Open Borders, pro-abortion, pro-sodomy liberals but purge Buchanan and Paul. What all of this means is that Graham's motivation is MILITARISM. In Graham's mind, the whole reason why the Republican Party should exist is to defend, promote, and extend the interests of the Military- Industrial-Complex (MIC). War, military bases, "The Troops" - that is all our senior U.S. Senator cares about. He doesn't care if you're an ultra-liberal on all other issues (Specter) as long as your "Good on National Security". That is why Specter and Guliani are welcome but Buchanan and Paul are not. Who cares about spending, immigration, abortion, and family values. Just be for war, war, and more damn war and your alright. Who cares if you are for the bailout (Specter and Guliani), amnesty (Specter and Guliani), partial-birth abortion (Specter and Guliani), or march behind the float of the Man-Boy Love Association (Guliani). Just be for dropping the damn bombs!!!!!!!!!!!! This all explains Graham's betrayals. Why did Lindsey defeat the "Nuclear Option" on judicial filibusters? So as to prevent the Right from capturing the Courts. That way, Roe is preserved, and, hence, Christian conservatives would stay dependent on the GOP on Election Day. Think about this syllogism: If a) Roe is overturned, then b) the Christian Right no longer needs the GOP; hence, c) the GOP would lose their vote cow and would lose; d) by losing power, the MIC would lose influence. Why does Lindsey support amnesty? Because the MIC needs poor Mexicans to fight in their wars. Middle class white kids won't sign up to fight wars for the Empire. Get the Mexicans - and if it plunges working class whites and blacks into poverty, all the better. Those are more recruits for the MIC. Doubt me on this? Just check out Graham on the YouTube clip. Look at his passion for the war. That is his passion. That is what motivates him. Below I have posted a column by Justin Raimondo written last year about Graham's big brother: John McCain. It describes what Lindsey is all about in greater detail. Don't get me wrong. I love the military. Not to brag, but I have a long military tradition in my family - as many of you do. My Uncle died in the Artic trying to tie down his men on deck. Another Uncle fought in Normandy. My father wanted to fight but was rejected three times because he had heart failure. My brother is a Marine Col. However, America isn't for the military, the military is for the people. Purge the Neocons. As they say in sports, its addition by subtraction.
